FAQ
-
Do I need a gym membership?
No! It’s true that the more access you have to equipment, the more variety I can provide for you. However, if you choose to workout outside or in your home, that’s ok too. A set of dumbbells and a jump rope is recommended.
-
What if I can only work out 1-2 days/week?
No problem! We’re all busy with work, family, and everything else that comes up. I’ll sit down with you to come up with a reasonable plan that works around your schedule.
-
What if I don’t have time to workout for more than 30 minutes?
Also not a problem. If you can only fit in a 20 minute work out, that’s better than nothing! The point is that we brainstorm ways that help you to stay consistent and active.
-
What if I have a nagging injury? Can we work around it?
I require new athletes to be medically cleared from a physical therapist or other medical professional if they are recovering from injury. While I program exercises that can help work around or alleviate minor aches and pains, it’s important you seek care from a doctor for more chronic conditions first.
-
I’m really self conscious about going into a gym. I don’t know what I should be doing. How do I fix that?
I’ll help you navigate your way around a gym. Whether you’re worried about how machines work or proper gym etiquette, we’ll get you more comfortable with what to expect. Consistency builds confidence.

I’m a parent and have never worked out in my life. Is it too late for me?
It’s never too late. I believe everyone has the ability to move athletically, no matter when they start to exercise. It just requires patience and allowing yourself to progress at your own pace. Just ask my Mom!

My kid needs to get in shape for their upcoming high school soccer season. Can you help with this?
Yes. I can create a conditioning program that will meet the demands of a high school or college soccer preseason.
-
Do you have experience working with children with disabilities?
Yes! I’ve been a special education teacher for the last 12 years. I’ve worked with a wide range of students with varying needs and ability levels. I’m able to accommodate those kids that benefit from some extra guidance or patience.

Can you provide me with a nutrition plan?
I’m not a certified nutritionist so I can’t give you a nutrition program specific to your individual needs. However, I can recommend certain types of food and eating habits that are traditionally a good starting point.
